John McLaughlin

John McLaughlin retired after a thirty year career in law enforcement with the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, and the Bureau of Land Management. His career occurred primarily in the Southwest where he became an experienced Law Enforcement Ranger, Firearms Instructor, Wildland Firefighter, Farrier, and Animal Packer.

McLaughlin and his wife of forty-one years share time living in Peoria, Arizona, and their property located south of Silver City, New Mexico. Winner of the Western Writers of America’s Spur Award, McLaughlin has a long standing love of books of all genres. However, he takes a special interest in fictional and non-fictional accounts of the Old West.
