Riders of the Skull: A Classic Western

Jord Blaine never set out to make enemies. He just refused to make the right ones.

Blaine has no quarrel with the Skull outfit… until the foreman orders his men to ride down a group of Cajun homesteaders trying to scratch a living from the Wyoming plains. Blaine refuses. Twice. His firmness costs him his job and earns him something worse: an enemy who doesn't let insults go unanswered.

He finds new work, rides into the mountains with a hunting party, and figures the trouble is behind him. Then a shot rings out that was never meant for the elk. The Skull's reach is longer than he thought, and young Jimmy Baker—the decent kid Blaine worked alongside all summer—is now riding for the very men hunting him down.
