Oregon college student Amanda Miller needs a change. When it comes in the form of inheriting her ancestral home in the picturesque Amish region of Ohio, there’s one condition—she must live there for a year before selling. Determined to restore the dilapidated house, Amanda embraces the challenge, but she can’t do it alone.

Enter Jacob Ruth, an unbaptized Amish carpenter torn between adhering to tradition and personal passions. As he and Amanda work together, their bond deepens. But their budding romance faces obstacles eager to keep them apart.
