When fun-loving Archie Stokes dashed out of his house and caught the bus to Calderbridge High one bright Thursday morning, he could never have imagined the astonishing events that were about to unfold. Thursday was Archie’s favorite day--there would be a double games period in the afternoon, which often meant playing cricket, rugby, or his beloved soccer. But today was not going to be like any other Thursday.

On that fateful day, 12-year-old Archie walked in through the school gates a normal, happy, football-crazy boy. By the time he walked back out, his life had changed forever.
