Kit Prate has always been a fan of Western fiction, but also tends towards anything on the written page that strikes her fancy.
Kit grew up as a curious child in a world of curiosity; blessed with parents who shared their sense of wonder in the small things, and a dry, mid-western sense of humor.
Luckily, marriage and work provided an opportunity to travel all across the US and into Mexico. That made it “easy” to write about places she’d seen and people she was fortunate to meet along the way.
Like a lot of authors, Kit Prate wants to try it all; although preferring the past to contemporary times. Happy endings? Maybe. Skewed logic and complex and conflicted characters, you bet. The world is an interesting place in fascinating shades of grey; not simply black and white.
