Anders Nordic is a towering, Scandinavian-American hailing from the rugged expanses of Dakota Territory. Known for his solitary nature and unparalleled fighting and shooting skills, Nordic has always struggled to get along with others. As an adult, his preference for solitude has only intensified, leading him to a remote line shack where he lives in blissful isolation.

His uncompromising nature draws him into trouble when he ventures into the bustling, violent town of Cimarron in New Mexico Territory for supplies. When he intervenes to save a homeless collie dog, Finn, from a cruel boy—who happens to be the town banker’s son—the act of kindness triggers a deadly chain of events.
