Harlan Hague

Harlan Hague, PhD, is a native Texan who has lived in Japan and England. His travels have taken him to about eighty countries and dependencies and a circumnavigation of the globe, thereby proving the earth is round.

Harlan is a prize-winning historian and biographer and award-winning novelist. His history specialties are exploration and trails, California’s Mexican era, American Indians, and the environment. Early on, while a professor of history, he wrote articles published in scholarly journals. His novels are mostly historical Westerns with romance themes. One Western includes a time travel twist. Two novels are set largely in Japan, with a novella in Belize. Some titles have been translated into Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and German. In addition to history, biography, and fiction, he once wrote travel articles, as well as a bit of fantasy. His screenplays are making the rounds.
