Rum Runners

A coming of age story set in Canada during the Great Depression and the Prohibition era.

When young Catholic Frenchman Jean Savoie is unable to find reliable work, he falls in with notorious rum runner Captain George MacLaren in order to help support his widowed mother and siblings.

After playing the part of the ghost, he’s recruited to work aboard the boat. All is well, and things are going according to plan—that is until Jean falls in love with Katie, the very girl Captain MacLaren’s son aims to marry. A vicious feud ensues, leading to a bloody turf war over the supply of liquor.

Shots will be fired, hearts will be broken, and fortunes will be made and lost in this rousing tale of a bygone era that combines action and adventure, intrigue, and just the right touch of romance.
